2013 Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe

Subaru has recently unveiled one of the company's newest vehicle models that will be sold in the US automobile market this year and this is the 2013 Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe. The BRZ made its first appearance in the USA at the 2012 North American International Auto Show held in Detroit last January. Upon seeing the 2013 Subaru BRZ, a lot of car buyers, vehicle experts, and other car enthusiasts were impressed with the sports coupe's appearance. In addition to this, they were also amazed by some of the vehicle's significant features.

The 2013 Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe has lower vehicle weight, very precise steering, and low center of gravity just like most sports car models in the market. This is powered by an FA-series 2.0-liter Boxer engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The Boxer engine is capable of producing up to 200 horsepower and the power produced by the engine is passed into the vehicle's rear wheels. The power output produced by the sport car's engine is considered to be common in its segment but Subaru expects that the overall performance of the BRZ will be able to stand out against its closest competitors in the segment.

The FA-series Boxer engine used in the BRZ is exclusively used by the model alone and this is not shared with any other Subaru vehicle. In addition to this, the materials used in the producing the engine is lightweight and these are capable of reducing the amount of friction produced when the vehicle is running. Due to this the BRZ is expected to offer an impressive running performance without the need to consume larger amounts of fuel.

Aside from the characteristics enumerated earlier, a lot of car experts have also noted that the 2013 Subaru BRZ sports coupe has frameless doors. But despite of the absence of the frames, the vehicle's doors are obviously strong and this could be considered as a boost in its safety features. Thanks to the company's use of the so-called "ring structure." In addition to this, the doors are made of high-tensile-strength steel that further improve the doors' sturdiness and resilience in the event of side crashes or collisions.

Given all of these features, it is very much possible for the 2013 Subaru BRZ sports coupe to emerge as one of the most sought-about sports car models for this year. This possible outcome could be considered as a very important event for the company since most of the sport car models in the market are also subjected to upgrades to further enhance their own performance.

2013 Mercedes Benz SL550

Get ready to short Pfizer stocks, because the brand new 2013 Mercedes Benz SL550 will be putting Viagra out of business. The 2013 Mercedes Benz SL550 continues a tradition that was started 60 years ago. A tradition that is synonymous with sport, style, and comfort. The 2013 SL550 is no different, although Mercedes is touting a slightly different tune about the all new and improved SL: it's lightweight, athletic and luxurious.

Lightweight, an aspect that is very critical to a performance vehicle. This is something that Mercedes Benz did not discount with the 2013 SL. Being built almost entirely out of aluminum the new SL is significantly lighter than it's predecessor, while at the same time features enhanced rigidity, body-roll and agility. The new body shell weights around 242 pounds less then it's steel counterpart. The change from steel to aluminum shell has also allowed Mercedes to focus on enhancing other aspects of the car structure such as optimizing safety points and adding additional rigidity to reduce vibration and thus, increase comfort. In all, the new 2013 Mercedes Benz SL550 weighs 275 pounds less than it's predecessor, bringing in the final weight to approximately 3,925 pounds (1780kg) from 4,200 pounds (1,905kg). Still a fairly high weight for a roadster, especially considering that a 2012 BMW 750i, a very large V8 luxury sedan, weighs 4,564 lbs (2,070kg). However, BMW'sV8 Twin Turbo roadster, the 2012 BMW 650i weighs in at 4531 lbs (2,055kg), significantly more than the 2013 SL550. Don't worry though, we'll point out the fact that the high weight doesn't necessarily limit the 2013 SL550 from achieving it's two other important qualities of being athletic and luxurious.

Athletic: if anyone knows anything about Mercedes Benz and SLs, they know that they're most definitely athletic. From 700 torque producing biturbos to raw naturally aspirated V8s, the SL is always on the forefront with power, handling and athletic capabilities. The 2013 SL550 is not any different, featuring a 4.7 liter V8 that spews out 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. "That's great" you say, "but my Mustang can do the same thing," in which you fail to recognize that the power increase from the outgoing 2012 SL500 improved by 12% despite a 0.8 liter drop in displacement. Torque on the other hand, improved by 32% up from a puny 391 lb-ft. Combine the weight drop with a smaller, more efficient engine, then take some other fancy components like steering enhancements and suspension tweaks and you get a fat roadster with enough torque to open your pickle jar that can do 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. That's AMG territory!

Let's not forget that despite being lightweight and athletic that the Mercedes Benz SL550 is still a vehicle of luxury. While the rev limiter is ringing in your ears you'll be able to appreciate the longer, wider and taller dimensions of the new SL. While the exhaust note will wake your neighbors, you'll be appreciating the FrontBass system that is integrated into the body of the car, making for a concert hall experience even with the top down. While your friends gloat about their Prius' gas mileage you'll be laughing for 20 seconds as your retractable hardtop drops down for you to enjoy the open air driving experience.

But let's not forget the most important piece about driving a Mercedes Benz: how you look in it. The car is clearly one of the most cleverly designed roadsters ever. The 2013 SL550 retains the classic,

Exploring the Features of the 2013 Kia Rio - What Makes It Tick?
The updated 2013 version of the Kia Rio is very much similar to the 2012 version. Well, who could blame them? With a car this good, you shouldn't really change a single thing or you risk destroying the entire package altogether. Anyway, Kia made a few changes to the 2012 version and brought us a more improved Kia Rio for 2013.

The new Kia Rio is a joy to behold - especially with its sculpted and neatly detailed look. However, the fun doesn't end there. Take a look inside the Rio and you'll know exactly what I mean!

The interior of the new Rio is surprisingly spacious for a supermini. It offers ample leg and headroom so you will surely enjoy a nice and comfortable ride whether you are in the front cabin or are occupying the rear seats.

It also comes with all the standard features you come to expect from a new car. The 2013 Rio has a nicely finished cockpit complete with well-placed and easy to use controls, USB port, auxiliary input jack and steering wheel mounted audio controls. The combination of high quality hard plastic trim and soft-touch surfaces make the interior more pleasing to the eyes. The Rio also has a large cargo space - 13.7 cubic feet for the sedan and 15 cubic feet for the hatchback.

The 2013 Kia Rio is ideal for most people's everyday driving needs. It comes with a standard 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine and a choice between manual and automatic transmission. Critics generally love the fact that the new Rio has enough horsepower to rev it up as it merges on the highway and that it handles surprisingly well on the road.

With the 2013 Rio, you will get a fuel economy of 28/36 mpg (city/highway) with the automatic transmission and 29/37 mpg (city/highway) with the manual transmission. However, by using the new stop/start system, you will get an additional 2 mpg to the automatic transmission city rating making it 30/36 mpg.

The Rio has all the standard safety features you need to keep you safe while you are on the road. It has the standard dual front, side and curtain airbags, child safety locks, anti-lock brakes and stability control, hill-start assist, emergency trunk release, and optional rearview camera.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

With the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu GM is looking to get a larger piece of the market that the Asian imports have traditionally dominated. When the last Malibu was introduced in 2008 it was hailed as the car that was going to turn GM around. In many ways it did: it was a sign of things to come with GM's engineers designing a great car not just a good car they could sell cheaply. The 2008 Malibu was considered a legitimate competitor to the Accord and Camry, the perennial top sellers in the midsize car category. Over the last 4 years we've seen new cars from Hyundai, Kia and Toyota as well as many others. All of these vehicles offer excellent value and the aging Malibu has been left by the wayside. For 2013 the Malibu is back, and ready to take on the imports. The styling is very fresh and contemporary and like so may midsize cars these days it looks much more expensive than it is when it drives by.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

On the inside the new Malibu is a huge improvement over the 2012 model. The quality of the material looks excellent and there are some truly unique design touches. The dash has some horizontal groves in it the run across its width and offer a very modern look. The centre stack has some very unique mood lighting that responds according to the commands you are giving the stereo. The touch screen controls for the infotainment system are high resolution and look very sharp. LT level Malibu's and above get the MyLink infotainment system that allows for wireless audio streaming and internet radio stitcher. The entire touch screen will flip up to allow access to a small cubby hole behind it. Not only did our Malibu have climate control, it was also dual zone with independent driver and passenger settings to help ease marital tensions. Overall the interior is well appointed and of a high quality.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

On the road the 2013 Malibu offers a very quiet and relaxing drive. The steering feel light and easy to use, but offers more feedback than last year's 4 cylinder model. Handling has also been improved on the new Malibu, offering a slightly sportier drive. The Malibu has never pretended to be a sporty car and it isn't starting now, however the new brakes and suspension give the car a stable, planted feeling though the corners. The ride quality is also excellent. The six speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and offers good response. The only drawback is that the manual shift control is located on top of the shifter, possibly the worst place one could think of to put it. As a result you feel a little clumsy when you use the manual shift mode.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

2013 Chevrolet Malibu

Our Malibu Eco test car was equipped with the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine with electric assist with a total power output of 182 horsepower. The 2.4L engine offers adequate power but many buyers will opt for the new 2.5L strait-gasoline 4 cylinder that offers 197 horse power. The 2.5L will be the new standard engine if you do not go for the Eco option. If the last generation Malibu is any indiction, customers will be better off buying the standard gas engine over the mild hybrid Eco option. The last generation Malibu Hybrid offered horrible acceleration and unremarkable fuel economy. Overall the new Malibu offers adequate performance and excellent comfort, all while keeping the cabin luxury car quiet.
